INTRODUCTION The international scientific community is now almost unanimous about the reality of climate change especially the increase in average temperature at Earth's surface and extreme events with significant consequences. Similarly, all the new studies indicate that Africa is the continent most vulnerable to climate variability and climate change due to many stresses to which it is submitted and its low capacity of adaptation. In fact, adaptation strategies to climate variability are being implemented, but they may prove inadequate for future climate change (IPCC, 2007). Thus, climate change really challenges to Sahelian communities particularly their survival in a fragile environment and rapidly changing. PARTICIPANTS This colloquium is especially intended for participants who wish to share their expertise for a better flow of information to the benefit of communities. ENTRY FORMALITIES
